A web application is software people log in to and use to get work done: a customer portal, an internal operations tool, a booking system, a dashboard, a marketplace. When off-the-shelf tools stop fitting the way your business works, a custom web application lets you keep your process instead of bending it around someone else’s product.
We build full-stack applications with React and Next.js on the front end, Node.js and TypeScript on the server, and PostgreSQL or MongoDB for data, deployed on AWS. It is a mainstream, well-documented stack, which matters to you: it is fast, it scales, and you will never struggle to find developers who can maintain it after us.
The hard part of a web application is rarely the screens. It is roles and permissions, data that has to stay consistent, workflows with many steps, audit trails, integrations with other systems and security. That is where we spend our attention, and it is why we agree architecture and scope with you before the build begins.
What we build
Customer and partner portals
Secure areas where customers, vendors or partners log in to place orders, track requests, upload documents or download reports.
Internal operations tools
Software that replaces spreadsheets, email threads and paper forms for approvals, inventory, scheduling or field work.
Admin dashboards and reporting
Role-based dashboards that bring data from several systems into one view, with filters, exports and permission controls.
Workflow and approval systems
Multi-step processes with configurable stages, assignments, version history, comments and a complete audit trail.
APIs and integrations
Well-documented APIs and connections to payment gateways, accounting software, CRMs, messaging and other third-party services.
Progressive web apps
Web applications that install on a phone’s home screen and keep working on patchy connections, without app store releases.

How the project runs
We map users, roles and the workflow first, then agree the architecture and a fixed first scope. The application is built in short increments you can click through on a staging link, with testing on every change. Launch includes data migration, monitoring and a hand-over of documentation, and we stay on for improvements.

Why build a custom web application instead of using an off-the-shelf tool?
Off-the-shelf tools are the right choice when your process is standard. Custom software makes sense when your workflow is what sets you apart, when you are paying for many tools that do not talk to each other, or when per-user licence costs keep rising. We will tell you honestly if an existing product would serve you better.
Which technologies do you use?
Usually React and Next.js for the interface, Node.js with TypeScript for the server, PostgreSQL or MongoDB for data, and AWS for hosting. We choose based on your requirements and your team’s ability to maintain the system later.
Can the application integrate with our existing systems?
Yes. We regularly connect to payment gateways, accounting and ERP systems, CRMs, email and messaging services, and internal databases, either through their APIs or through scheduled data exchange.
How do you handle security?
Role-based access control, input validation, rate limiting, encrypted connections, audit logs and careful handling of uploaded files are standard. For regulated clients we work with external security audits and fix what they find.
Will we own the source code?
Yes. You own the code, data and infrastructure accounts. We document the system and hand it over so your team, or another vendor, can maintain it.
What happens after launch?
We stay involved for bug fixes, performance tuning and new features, either on an agreed retainer or per piece of work. You are never locked in.
Can you take over an application another team built?
Yes. We start with a short code and infrastructure review, explain what we find in plain language, and agree whether to stabilise, extend or gradually replace parts of it. We do not recommend a rewrite unless the review shows it is genuinely cheaper.
